E Safety

Children at Flyford Flavell First School,  use the internet on a regular basis as part of their learning. Technology enhances learning, and we ensure pupils get the most from it, by encouraging responsible online behaviour.

In school, we use a filtering system to prevent children accessing inappropriate sites.  Children are taught e-safety skills as part of their computing curriculum and half-termly assemblies are used to remind children of the care they need to take when engaging with technology.

Children are encouraged to take a balanced approach to technology and to use it in a purposeful manner.  We encourage the children to research the people and topics we discuss in whole school assemblies to find out more.  House-points are given to all children who undertake research work at home, linked to school themes.
